Careers at the MNI
Academic and clinical faculty positions
Physicians trained in neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-anesthesiology, neuropathology, neuro-radiology, physiatry and psychiatry treat patients at the MNI. Working in an intellectually stimulating setting, they may do clinical practice exclusively, or combine research with clinical practice. MNI physicians are part of the McGill University Faculty of Medicine. These dedicated professionals develop their expertise in collaboration with research and clinical colleagues, and help to train students and fellows. Physicians interested in learning more about the clinical work at the MNI may contact Mark Angle, MD, Director of Professional Services, at 514-398-1922. Physicians interested in academic positions may view recruitment notices here and in scientific journals.
Scientists trained in neuroscience and other disciplines do basic and clinical research, collaborate with clinical colleagues, and train students and fellows in their labs. MNI scientists hold academic positions at McGill University and teach in a wide range of courses. MNI’s 50 principal investigators and 200 trainees publish more than 200 articles a year in high impact journals. These outstanding researchers far exceed the national rate of success in securing research grants, and are invited to present their research findings at symposia around the world. Research scientists interested in a career at the MNI may view recruitment notices here and in scientific journals.
