Dr. Ghislaine Savard conducts clinical
research that focuses on the psychiatric aspects of epilepsy. Her work
examines post-ictal psychosis, pseudo-seizures, the psychiatric complications
of anti-epileptic medication, and consequences of epilepsy surgery. She has
used PET to study patients with post-ictal psychosis. She is also playing an
active role with cell and molecular biologists in the Institute in
discussions aimed at understanding the cellular and molecular basis of
cognition and psychiatric disorders.
