Fellowships
The MNI grants fellowships and travel awards through a competitive process.
The deadline for applications for the four competitions listed below is
October 31, 2013.
On-line applications will be available as of August 1,
2013.
Banque Nationale Post-Doctoral Fellowship provides $50,000 stipend support for the training of post-doctoral fellows in work related to translational research and knowledge creation. The award is for one year and recipients can apply for one additional year of funding.
CIBC Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Brain Imaging provides $50,000 stipend support for the training of post-doctoral fellows in the field of Brain Imaging. The award is for one year and recipients can apply for one additional year of funding.
Jeanne Timmins Costello Fellowship supports research and study in clinical and basic neuroscience. Appointments are for one year with a value of $40,000 per year.
Preston Robb Fellowship supports the training of a clinical fellow to work jointly with our basic and clinician scientists. Initial appointment is for one year with a value of $40,000 per year.
The following fellowship is not being offered in this round of
applications:
Mark Rayport & Shirley Ferguson Rayport Clinical Fellowship in
Epilepsy Surgery supports the training of a neurosurgeon to develop
expertise in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and to have the opportunity
to study related research techniques. Initial appointments will be for one
year with a maximum value of $50,000 per year.
Travel Awards
The deadline for applications for the three competitions listed below is
October 31, 2013.

Arthur Victor Movement Disorder Travel Award provides up to $1500 in travel expenses (for the period from November 1, 2012 - October 31, 2014) of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows presenting research related to movement disorders at international scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting.
Simon Groom Student Travel Award provides up to $1000 in travel expenses (for the period from November 1, 2012 - October 31, 2014) of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows presenting research related to epilepsy at international scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting.
Dr. Richard Murphy Travel Award provides up to $1500 in travel expenses (for the period from November 1, 2012 - October 31, 2014) of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows presenting research at national and international scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting.
