The Montreal Neurological Institute offers a world-class environment for learning and practicing neuroscience. The MNI is large enough to attract top talent yet small enough to foster strong working relationships and friendships. About 200 students, residents and fellows work in the MNI’s 50 research labs. Many pursue a Masters or PhD in McGill University's Integrated Program in Neuroscience, one of the largest such programs in North America. Students learn techniques and develop research skills in brain imaging, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, cognitive psychology, electrophysiology, immunology, morphology, neuro-engineering, systems neuroscience and other specialties. Students at the MNI hear the world's most prominent neuroscientists present their latest work, and enjoy many opportunities to participate in international meetings.
